I had my first drink of soda for the first time yesterday since the first week of April. It was an accident, and I was expecting a sip of my tea. There was an error with our order at Sonic. We had ordered a Dr. Pepper and a sweet tea. I smelled the first drink, and it clearly was a soda, so I closed it and popped my straw into the other glass. I took a big sip, and it was like I was being assaulted. Seriously tasted like chemicals, and bubbles. And those bubbles I liked, no loved, so much hurt to swallow. I took another sip to make sure I got it right, and you know what? It was gross, and sweet too. My body has to be much happier now that soda is not a part of my daily needs.

Who knew that I would be on the phone so much when planning to move.

Today while I was making calls, I was able to watch TWO movies. I picked up Out of my League, and Leap Year. I really enjoyed Out of my League. It was funny, but didn’t really have a lot of substance. Amy Adams was cute in Leap Year. The story was funny, and the accents were so yummy. I would definitely watch that movie again.

I’m so slowly making progress on my packing. It was tough today. I’m getting rid of more stuff than is making it in boxes. That’s still progress though, right?

Big Brother is on again. It’s been fun watching the new season. Even though Annie was the saboteur, I’m glad that she was gone. I know she would have made the show more interesting, but see ya!

Clarissa and Brandy invited to spend Thursday and Friday in Houston. The trip down was awesome. We stopped at the Faske store in Giddings and did some shopping. I certainly wasn’t planning on getting anything and I walked away with a mixer, a hand mixer, and an old iron.

I seriously love the mixer. It’s the original bowls and from 1938. I can’t wait to put it in the kitchen.

Thursday night, we had great seats for Wicked. I’d heard the music before, but hearing and seeing it live, was just unbelievable. I cried, Brandy cried, Clarissa cried, and she handed out tissues for us. Truly amazing, overwhelmingly beautiful. I would go and watch it over and over again.

On the drive home, we stopped in Carmine, Tx, and I fell in love with this store called Texas Trash and Treasures I think I could decorate my whole house with the items from this store. I love it. After I move and things settle down, I want to go and buy the rose wreath that they have in their store.

The trip was great, and I had a lot of fun. Sitting in the hotel after the musical was so much fun. It was just like a slumber party from when I was younger.

The World Cup Final is on, and it’s in the final three extra minutes, before going into additional play. I’ll be sad when it’s over. It’s been nice seeing soccer on the telly.

Last night was interesting.

The girls and I got in line at the theatre at 4:45pm. We were probably at the halfway point. It was crazy seeing everyone with their blankets and pillows. Pizza was being delivered to the line, chinese food, also. It reminded me of a giant slumber party! They let us in at 6:30 and D beat down some other ladies for our seats, which ended up being in the back instead of all the way towards the front. A lot of heckling went on during the show, comments and jokes. A lot of laughing. Someone sneezed and almost the entire theatre said bless you. I got ansy during New Moon because I was getting tired and wanted to sleep. Once Eclipse started though, it got quiet in the theatre and everyone was watching.

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I last updated my blog! School definitely kept me busy, and sometimes I wondered if I was going to make it through it. This past semester was the hardest semester I’ve ever had, and I’m looking forward to a lighter semester in the fall, and seeing graduation somewhere down the way. It’s the first time that I’ve followed a path and I can see the end as a possibility.

The boys are growing fast. The oldest is starting high school in the fall. It’s hard to believe how fast middle school went. I really enjoy being able to hold real indepth conversations with him. He has his own views and they aren’t always mine and he’s not afraid to share them with me. The youngest still has one more year of elementary school. He’s still lovey dovey with me and hasn’t stopped giving hugs and curling up to watch movies with me. The boys constantly surprise me, and I’m really lucky!

Since I lost pieces of my blog, I’m going to redo my 100 things list. That’s next.

Going through the motions… just barely at that… and coming to the point that nothing really matters. That I’m just so tired of the same thing over and over again. Of being afraid of not being able to be counted on…. anyone who has known me for a long time knows that I can’t be counted on for anything requiring long term commitment. I consistanly fail. It makes me wonderr why I’m even wonder why I’m back in school.i dont have what it takes to be successful.
